RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the general supervision of the Engineering and Maintenance Manager:

• Completes assigned work orders/F-Tags and interfaces with production personnel in troubleshooting or design improvements

• Makes mechanical adjustments

• Lubricates machinery

• Diagnoses and corrects mechanical and basic electrical problems

• Fabricates parts as required

• Repairs and/or overhauls in-plant equipment

• Performs preventive and predictive maintenance tasks

• Works with contractors and vendors as needed

• Requests parts to be ordered

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in all maintenance crafts to include electrical, plumbing, mechanics, welding, millwright and carpentry required

• Excellent interpersonal skills required to closely interact with co-workers in and outside of the Maintenance Department

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and relay logic

• Experience in repair and troubleshooting of HVAC and general building maintenance required

• Demonstrated ability to methodically analyze and correct problems of a varied nature on a wide range of equipment and support systems

• Physical requirements require candidate to continuously lift weights up to 35 lbs. Frequently lift 50-75 lbs. Occasionally lift 76 to 100 lbs.

• Must be agile enough to maneuver around equipment, climb stairs, and go up and down ladders to reach various equipment.

• Ability to work overtime daily and on weekends is required and to have flexibility with shift hours is required

• Demonstrated working knowledge of CMMS • Candidate must have knowledge of P.M. practices

• Demonstrated process improvement ability and leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

• Food processing equipment experience

• Hands on experience with new equipment installation

• Experience with boilers, chillers, and air compressor

• PLC and Industrial electrical experience

• TPM experience
