Maintenance Electrician, Palmwoods

We are looking for an enthusiastic Maintenance Electrician to join our globally recognized company located on the Sunshine Coast. 

 

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will be working closely with the Maintenance Planner alongside various maintenance fitters and electricians at our Palmwoods site with the goal to move towards a preventative maintenance future, utilizing global improvement processes to drive greater performance.  

 

About The Role

 

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

  • Performing repair and maintenance of production equipment ensuring Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) housekeeping standards are maintained
  • Minimize machine changeover time and downtime to maximize machine output
  • Drive continuous improvement activities on equipment and processes
  • Ensure all workmanship is completed to the highest possible standard
  • Be involved in continuous improvement projects

About You

 

To be successful in this position, you will be self-motivated, able to work unsupervised and possess a friendly, customer focused personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

 

In addition to the above, you will have;

  • FMCG or other automated manufacturing site experience 
  • Must hold current QLD Electrical license
  • Exposure and/or experience with Instrumentation
  • Experience with packaging equipment 
  • Experience or understanding of wastewater processes/systems 
  • Understanding of Boiler and or steam control processes/systems 
  • Understand Pneumatic systems
  • Have a good understanding of electronic control systems/PLC’s
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Be computer literate and experience with CMMS software
  • Be able to work flexible hours (Rotating Shift & Overtime)
