Commercial Finance Manager

The Commercial Finance Manager will report to a Commercial Finance Director.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Commercial Finance Manager will be responsible for providing financial oversight and support for the key activities of the Commercial teams for our US Custom business. The successful candidate will be an active business partner with the Commercial teams working toward common goals to drive growth and profitability. This position will be responsible for developing analysis that will provide the foundation for significant business decisions.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a team of finance professionals responsible for all aspects of the financial and profitability analysis for Commercial business partners.
  • Develop and review analytics/reporting for key business segments, customers, and product lines.
  • Manage and deliver the profitability analysis and execution actions for key customers, products and product categories, new products, post-launch reviews, pricing actions, and critical indicator reporting to senior management. This includes managing, analyzing and communicating complex financial models.
  • Provide close coordination to the pricing teams to develop pricing strategies, targets, and execution of pricing activities to customers
  • Lead the forecast, budget and month-end close processes and results explanations
  • Serve as the key business partner to support the commercial team’s short-term projects and long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Lead business planning projects with cross functional business partners and provide actionable insights to assist in key decision making including the strategic plan, budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Utilize systems to improve analytics and processes to drive data-based insights.
  • Maintain appropriate internal control environment.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting
  • 8+ years finance analyst or planning experience
  • 2+ years project management experience supporting finance initiatives with the business functions
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel and basic proficiency of Power Point & Word required. TM1 and SAP/BW experience is desirable
  • Excellent analytical, communication and organization skills
  • Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of different financial and analytical techniques and the capability to plan own work and respect deadlines
  • Demonstrated complex financial analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven team player

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA and/or CPA
  • 2+ years supervisory experience
