Business Analyst - Digital Manufacturing

Position:   Business Analyst – Digital Manufacturing  

Based:      Lodz, Poland    



As a Digital Manufacturing Business Analyst, you will work with the Manufacturing and Supply Chain business users to understand and document business requirements and writing user stories for specific platforms. Then you will help the business to agree the solution implemented and the criteria that will be used to accept it, based on those stories. In the user testing process, the Business Analyst will help the business to organize suitable testers and ensure that the testing covers all the acceptance criteria. Over time the Business Analyst will develop a deep understanding of the business goals and challenges in achieving those goals and use this knowledge to anticipate future requirements and identify areas where IT can deliver more value to the business. This insight will be critical in helping the product owner prioritize the current backlog and future roadmaps. Supporting the business with issues and change management means that the Business Analyst is key to understanding barriers to user adoption and strategies that can be used to increase the value of the solution to the business.





  • Perform research and interviews to determine IT business requirements and then translate into user stories.
  • Help business users define and document acceptance criteria.
  • Analyze, facilitate, model, and organize information in order to reconcile conflicts, elicit requirements and distinguish solution ideas from business needs.
  • Serve as a technical liaison to business product owners, to the IT Product Owner and the Development/Vendor Teams.
  • Requirements gathering.
  • Coordinate and facilitate user testing.
  • Support the product owner to deliver the roadmap for the platform.
  • Provide issue management for end-user problems and ensure a consistent high-level responsiveness and customer care.
  • Document steps required to resolve an issue.
  • Understand and anticipate how business needs, and market trends could shape and build the product line model.
  • Understand product line goals, objectives and road map.
  • Ensure solutions are built within the product line model and contributing the solution design for their product(s).
  • Assist in business Change Management activities.
  • Bring inconsistencies and problems to the attention of management via sprint retrospectives and suggest problem resolution and business process improvements.
  • Support the scrum process by completing tasks as needed to support the completion of stories.
  • Maintain continuous personal learning and development to remain technological relevancy in current and emerging technologies.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.





  • Bachelor’s Degree typically within a technical subject such as computer science or significant level of experience in business analysis.
  • Previous business and/or systems analysis experience in supply chain processes (manufacturing/ distribution/ quality/maintenance) (MES /SAP/ Production systems and control systems)
  • Operating in an Agile software development environment with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps etc.
  • Understanding of Scrum Methodologies
  • Familiarity with Aveva MES or other MES solutions, SAP s/4 , Automation systems (Wonderware)


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in Manufacturing roles is an advantage
  • Knowledge of process mapping and techniques is a benefit
