EMEA Consumer COGS Analyst

EMEA Consumer Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) Analyst will work with the Finance Business Partners to produce forward-looking supply chain analyses that drive decision-making process and that deliver story about the current Profit and Loss (P&L) results. This position will be crucial for fostering relationships within the EMEA Supply Chain functions as well as with the commercial teams across EMEA. The analyst will investigate and will identify opportunities for efficiency, cost savings and business growth through detailed analysis of operational and financial performance.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Analyse performance data to identify insights that help finance business partners deliver targeted support to the decision-makers.
  • Provide commentary on management reports, driving high quality, concise and focused management reporting.
  • Organize and lead monthly COGS reviews for various markets.
  • Support EMEA Supply Chain Finance decks preparation.
  • Identify ongoing opportunities and approaches for reporting process optimization.
  • Support product costing activities.
  • Business Planning:
  • Work with supply chain finance management, plant business partners and commercial teams to prepare reliable forecast/budget view
  • Support quarterly and annual planning activities on total EMEA level.
  • Support quarterly, annual planning activities in SCF COE team. All to deliver high quality data with the commentary on time.
  • Supporting SCF business partners in below areas:
  • Month-end activities.
  • Planning, identification, and data review to create an initial draft of insights for the business.
  • Analysis to identify cost and network optimization opportunities.
  • Supporting Global COE team in:
  • Preparation of management reports, with initial variance analysis and commentary within the agreed timeline.
  • Preparation of various decks with the insightful commentary within the agreed timeline.
  • Completing various analyses and communicating findings.
  • Participating in various process improvement projects initiated by Global SCF COE team.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience working in a similar position with the background in accounting.
  • Relevant Accounting Qualification in region e.g. CIMA, ACA or CPA – would be an advantage.
  • Experience in financial data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in harmonization projects in Finance departments.
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel (incl. Power Query).
  • Experience in Power BI.
  • Good SAP knowledge.
  • Good technical finance and commercial understanding.
  • Good analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with drive to find opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload.
