Technical System Analyst - Solution Delivery

Technical Systems Analyst - Solutions Delivery is responsible for reviewing or developing and supporting reliable and efficient solutions to complex enhancement requests. Working with business and support partners to formulate, define and support requests, through research, analysis, development, and testing. Serves as a pro-active business partner and plays a role of SME as part of a global team to enable business through technology in an integrated, outsourced enterprise systems environment. Has a comprehensive understanding of business systems and industry requirements while leveraging Agile and Product line methodologies. The incumbent will assist with EDI trading partner onboarding.

 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Responsible for reviewing or developing reliable and efficient solutions to fulfil cross-functional and complex enhancements while working with business solutions teams and AMS provider as needed. Write or review functional specifications, support development, or develop unique solutions to ensure business requirements are met.
  • Co-ordinates configuration, unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance, change management and deployment on more complex system enhancements. Provides post-implementation process and application transition support; acts as work stream (product line) lead from start to finish. 
  • Escalation point for any enquiries that include customized systems support, improvement analyses, and advice.  Work with AMS or any other 3rd party providers for custom code or highly unique business processes.
  • Provides ongoing support for escalation on system failure prevention, system problem calls and user inquiries. This includes regular system maintenance and support which may require out of hours critical support 
  • Leads constant improvement and appropriately challenges processes to ensure global consistency
  • Elevates knowledge of peer companies, networks and benchmarks to gain insights into the potential use of new tools, processes and techniques. Translates long-term objectives of the business strategy into practical solutions
  • Generates ideas for IS products and services that provide realistic and tangible benefit; contributes to ROI associated with projects.
  • Provides leadership and training to less experienced analysts and Interns; develops training materials; trains power users.
  • May act as a team lead in the absence of direct supervisor. May maintain control over allocated project budget to ensure compliance with expense and capital expectations.

  • Maintain continuous personal learning and development to remain technological relevancy in current and emerging technologies

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 

  • 5 years of comprehensive IT project related experience, demonstrated ability to act as a work stream leader.
  • 5 years in-depth knowledge in more than one business area and detailed understanding of interdependencies.
  • Understands project budgeting process, tracks the cost of actions and decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge/understanding of business processes/interdependencies outside of home country through project participation/experience.
  • Understands current market trends and best practices and formulates some propositions to enhance business performance.
  • 5+ years of EDI experience specifically using Seeburger BIS 6 is required.
  • Experience with BIS 6.5.2 is strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in mapping between SAP IDOC and EDI message.
  • 5+ years of experience with AS2, HTTPS, FTPS, SFTP, PGP, SMTP, VPN
  • 5+ years of experience developing EDI solutions related to Supply Chain, Finance or Manufacturing business processes.
