Communication Specialist
Location:Łódź
Communication Specialist works closely with Global Employee Engagement and Wellbeing Manager and Senior Director of Global Employee Engagement to effectively plan and deliver global recognition programs (C.P. McCormick Award, Community Award, Scholarship Programs US and International, Service Award Program, Long Service Award Program, Retiree Gift Check Program, Thanksgiving Program) and provide support to employee engagement surveys and activities. The role partners in designing and implementing improvements to current programs as well as supports launching new programs.
As a Communication Specialist you will:
- Administers and manages execution of global recognition programs (C.P. Award Program, Scholarship Program, Community Service Award Program, Service Award Program, Long Service Award Program, Retiree Gift Check Program, Thanksgiving Program, and other new in scope if required), following the standard process (i.e. creation and publishing recognition calendar, updating nomination forms, requesting reports supporting execution of the processes, requesting vendors’ creation and payments, liaising with HRBPs, preparing and requesting broadcast communication about recognition programs, preparing recognition letters, update SharePoint/McConnect when implemented). Works with other McCormick teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of all recognition programs, gifts and to address any occurring issues. Creates and delivers in timely manner slides (or any other materials) for General Meetings. Provides recognition input for People Magazine purposes and if required create articles to feed the content. Responds to recognition related employee queries
- Manages, updates in timely manner, and improves Global Recognition SharePoint content. Maintains automated nomination forms on SharePoint.
- Documents and updates on regular basis process documentation in Promapp as well as contributes to planning, creating, and publishing articles in Knowledge Base to build repository of knowledge for employees.
- Manages tasks execution with great independence, including high complexity requests. Partners with peers in daily operation, collaborating with Global Employee Engagement & Wellbeing Manager, as well as Senior Director Global Employee Engagement, following standard processes. Correctly addresses escalations by partnering with Global Delivery Solution Center Director, providing high independence in own area of expertise.
- Actively works on process excellence within own area of responsibility and recommending process improvements, supporting implementation of the improvements. Trains others on process flow and provides support to colleagues as needed. Supports integration of new processes, makes recommendations for seamless integration and provides service transition support if needed. Facilitates end to end process improvement review and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Engages in continuous learning for self, seeks resources to continuously learn and bring insights forward. Trains and provides support to others. Collaborates cross-functional to resolve matters of increased complexity. Engages peers in achieving daily, weekly, monthly service and
volume goals.
To be successful in this role you should:
- At least C1 English level is a must
- Higher Education Graduate - Nice to have
- Previous experience of HR or recognition specialist, process and projects management experience preferably within global teams.
- High level of work organization, experience in process and project management. Ability to plan and prioritize work to ensure meeting deadlines, ability to prepare project plan, delegate and effectively execute tasks.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to present ideas to team members/ employees and outside vendors/ representatives.
- Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills, independent decision making, quick learning and reacting on unexpected issues.
- SharePoint (including creation of automated flows), advanced Excel skills
- Analytical mind focused on details, ability to work with big amount of data, analyzing and drawing business related conclusions. Driven by results.
- Has ability to work independently, exercise good judgment in high pressure, sensitive situations.
- Problem solving skills and experience working under aggressive deadlines.
- General knowledge of the company (candidate from inside MKC) is required.
- Most of the problems encountered in this position is connected to contact with people, managing expectations and resolving issues that impact another people’s operation.
