Customer Technical Services Analyst

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Work as a part of CTS Department and support the team in a variety of administrative tasks in relation to quality assurance area
  • Complete customer product specifications and quality documentation
  • Complete finished products and raw materials microbiological, sensory, chemical and physical inspection plans in SAP for McCormick manufacturing plants in Canada and USA
  • Ensure that all information is compiled and entered into customer portals and McCormick tools correctly
  • Respond to external customer technical enquiries in a timely manner, in order to meet business and customer needs, e.g. McCormick position statements, selling specifications, certificates
  • Proactively remain aware of customer technical standards and liaise with key McCormick Quality, Technical, Sales , Commercialization representatives
  • Remain aware of emerging technical issues to support customer technical requests.
  • Cross-trained to ensure that understanding of the requirements of all McCormick strategic customers, and provide cover for other technical team member during periods of absence
  • Prepares and leads internal training for new team members
  • Manage Strategic size Projects or Customers. Effectively leads multi-functional projects to address and resolve regulatory issues
  • Proactively communicating to direct supervisors on any potential changes that could improve ways of working within and outside of their primary scope of responsibilities

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 

  • Food Technology Diploma or related qualification
  • Fluent English is required
  • Previous experience in the food industry (e.g. Quality assurance, technical, R&D, customer services)
  • Knowledge of quality systems preferable e.g. ISO, BRC, EFSIS
  • Computer literacy (specifically Excel, SAP)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Organized, methodical, good attention to detail
  • Able to prioritize and manage time effectively, with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to work on rotating (afternoon) shift
