Cybersecurity Engineer
Łódź, Poland – hybrid setting
This role is focused on keeping the company’s people and systems safely connected to the internet and to internal applications, no matter where they are in the world. The person in this job manages a security platform called Zscaler, which acts like a smart security gate — checking who is trying to connect, what they are accessing, and making sure it is safe and allowed.
The cybersecurity team works behind the scenes to make sure employees can securely access the tools and systems they need, whether they are in the office, at home, or traveling. They also fix access issues, strengthen security controls, and help design safer ways for the company to use cloud and online services. In simple terms, this role helps protect the company while making sure work can continue smoothly and securely.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer, optimize, and automate the full Zscaler suite, including ZIA and ZPA.
- Design and support secure network and cloud architectures, including Zero Trust access, segmentation, and traffic forwarding.
- Partner with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to integrate security into new deployments, cloud migrations, and business initiatives.
- Investigate and resolve security, connectivity, and access-related issues across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
- Support incident response, compliance initiatives, and operational event analysis.
- Manage solution lifecycle activities, including upgrades, certificate renewals, policy optimization, and capacity planning.
- Participate in on-call support for critical security platforms and remote access services.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Technical Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Hands-on experience administering and optimizing ZIA/ZPA, secure traffic forwarding (GRE/IPSec), client connector deployments, segmentation strategies, and policy enforcement within a Zero Trust architecture.
- Strong understanding of hybrid and cloud network design, secure access integration for new applications and migrations, and troubleshooting complex connectivity and performance issues.
- Ability to analyze traffic logs and operational events, support incident investigations, and align controls with frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001.
- Ability in scripting (PowerShell/Python), certificate management, upgrades, capacity planning, and continuous improvement of secure access platforms.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to partner effectively with cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, and business teams, translating technical concepts into business-relevant outcomes.
- Strong analytical capability to diagnose complex access and network challenges and deliver practical, risk-aligned solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, respond to high-priority incidents, and maintain operational resilience in a global environment.
