End User Computing Architect
LODZ, POLAND
The position involves developing End User Computing designs for the Product Line in accordance with corporate standards. Responsibilities include collaborating with partners to design state-of-the-art infrastructure that supports MCK globally, and assisting with projects, acquisitions, and expansions. This entails creating fit-for-purpose solutions that ensure systems maintain data confidentiality, integrity, and availability, aligned with the sensitivity and criticality warranted.
Additionally, participation in the creation and approval of new standards as part of an architectural standards board is required, operating within the global architectural function.
The focus is specifically on the development of End User Computing systems, working closely with the provider engineering teams to deliver “Apple Simple” computing and a delightful employee technology experience.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads complex EUC projects that require in-depth knowledge of a specialized capability within their architecture domain, providing architectural designs and guidance.
- Provides direction, guidance, and definition of IT architecture to effectively support the product and business strategy. Supports a specific architecture discipline and champions’ architectural initiatives according to the corporate standards.
- Consults with project teams to fit projects to established architecture patterns, as well as to identify when it is necessary to modify the standard architectural patterns. Ensures the conceptual completeness of the technical solutions. Works with partners to ensure technical delivery of EUC solutions.
- Participates in the creation of governing principles and standards to guide architecture decision making. Identifies exceptions to architectural standards at an enterprise level and facilitates resolution. Reviews and/or analyzes and develops architectural and security requirements as needed for the organization.
- Performs research on emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts and recommend technologies that will improve cost effectiveness and systems flexibility. Develop, document, and communicate plans for investing in systems architecture, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Extensive IT experience, with a significant amount of time spent in an engineering or architecture role.
- End User Experience Design, Designing seamless digital workplace experiences, Persona-based workspace delivery and application profiling, Workspace and Device Management, etc.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills needed to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Proven track record of designing highly complex global architecture designs.
- Experience of participating in complex global projects, processes, and systems.
