Finance Process Improvement Director

Primary responsibility of this position is to be a key change agent to transform SCF’s business processes and reporting to drive standardization and simplification across the globe.  The role will be responsible for reviewing key existing processes and reporting, developing a recommendation for standardization, and deploying across all regions.  This role will also identify simplification opportunities across processes and reporting to eliminate non-critical work activities and allowing the SCF team to redeploy those resources on value-added activities.  The role will partner with the SCF Senior Leadership Team, other finance functions, and key business partners.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work collaboratively with SCF, finance functions, and key business partners to identify process improvement opportunities.  The improvement opportunities could be to eliminate non-critical work, improve weaknesses in the process, or identify value-added opportunities. Once the opportunities are identified this role will deploy the changes across the global SCF Team. 
  • Work collaboratively with SCF and finance functions (including internal audit and Controllership) to identify internal control improvement opportunities. Individual should also look externally to identify best practices and benchmark as appropriate. These improvement opportunities can be to eliminate redundant controls, identify control weaknesses, and control differences across the function. Once the opportunities are identified and aligned this role will deploy across the global SCF Team.
  • In addition, individual will perform routine checks of controls to ensure they are being completed timely, accurately, and consistently across control owners.
  • Role will work closely with Global SCF Team to drive and execute additional process optimization across regions to further develop the global functional model within Supply Chain Finance.  
  • Role will perform ad-hoc analysis and project support as required.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • 10+ years finance experience with a minimum of 5+ years of senior level financial planning / analysis, supply chain finance or accounting experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others when not directly reporting to you.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills and a solid knowledge of MS Excel, Power Point, and Word.
  • Ability to influence and interact effectively with all levels and areas of the organization.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of financial and analytical techniques.
  • Leading the team requires a thorough knowledge of technical financial analysis tools and methods, including knowledge of critical business issues and interpreting their impact on financial results of the Division.
  • Need to understand trends in the industry, including external and internal factors affecting the business. Cross functional knowledge is essential.
  • Ability to influence peers and other finance professionals.
  • Ability to deploy and drive effect change management is critical to the success of this role.
  • Effective communication with various levels of the organization
  • Strong analytic and project management skills.
  • Ability to break down complex problems and generate insights from large data sets; strong project management skills with wide variety of stakeholders.
