Financial Controller Poland

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY 

The role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting under both US GAAP and Polish GAAP, supporting regional and local statutory requirements, and maintaining strong internal controls. The position collaborates closely with the EMEA Controlling team, local finance teams, tax, and auditors to ensure compliance, reporting integrity, and operational efficiency.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly and quarterly US GAAP reporting in compliance with corporate deadlines and standards
  • Identify and implement processes for reporting, monitoring and reconciling US GAAP and local GAAP accounting differences
  • Cooperate and support internal and external audits, ensuring delivery within agreed budgets and timelines
  • Oversee statutory reporting in accordance with local GAAP requirements
  • Prepare annual financial statements in compliance with local regulations
  • Coordinate and supervise local company efforts around fixed assets and stock counting activities
  • Provide support to the regional tax team for the management of tax issues and transfer pricing activities
  • Develop local policies & procedures aiming at internal control improvement
  • Review account reconciliations
  • Lease management (LeaseQuery)

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • Professional experience in accounting
  • Knowledge of local GAAP
  • Experience in preparing annual financial statements is a plus
  • Self-management of own workload
  • Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles from a business perspective
  • Technical - Excellent Microsoft Offices skills
  • Technical - Excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills
