Global Regulatory Compliance Director

Fixed Term Contract – 18 months
The Global Regulatory Compliance Director is responsible for strategy development and execution for Regulatory Compliance Day 2-day operations, regulatory programs & projects for both EMEA and NA regions. This role leads large-scale cross regional initiatives to deliver a strong result that enable a best-in-class internal and external customers experience.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: #LI-DNI
- Manage and oversee Global Regulatory Compliance Team including all regulatory processes, systems & tools required to deliver best-in-class regulatory compliance services to the NA & EMEA business.
- Manage domestic & international food regulatory issues and conduct risk assessment and generate analysis report to take preventive and corrective measures.
- Manage the overall effective operation of Regulatory Compliance team to achieve agreed Key Performance Indicators including service levels delivery, volume, data quality and overall service satisfaction. Communicate priorities and address team’s day-to-day challenges, ensure shift coverage and proactively escalate aging issues for resolution. Responsible for overall regulatory compliance data management for both industrial and consumer divisions.
- Manage talent within Regulatory Compliance function consistent with talent strategy and high-performance culture, providing coaching, counseling, training and team development. Lead the team in establishing a culture of continuous improvement midst through enhanced cost effectiveness and the pursuit of service excellence. Resource allocation and management of external supporting resources when needed.
- Partner with Regional Regulatory Business Partners, Global Process Owner and Regulatory COE team to deliver ongoing efficiency improvements through operational developments, process re-engineering and technology enhancements; Identifies and executes opportunities to expand services within area of responsibility globally.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Master’s degree preferably in a Regulatory, Food Science and related discipline.
- Minimum of 5+ years in senior technical roles in the food industry. Minimum of 5+ years in leadership.
- Fluent English, knowledge other languages is a plus.
- Exposure to Regulatory Affairs and compliance in the food and flavours industries including knowledge of food standards, microbiology & food safety.
- Proven effective business and project management. Goal and results oriented with successful track record.
- Ability to partner with a variety of stakeholders to define common objectives and strategies to achieve business results.
- Must have ability to interact with all levels; demonstrate ability to get things done through people.
- Excellent customer service skills, relationship building and leadership capabilities. Strong presentation and communication skills.
