BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM MANAGER

Lodz, Poland

 

Working as a member of GBS Transformation Team under general supervision of the GBS Enablement Director, the role is primarily responsible for the coordinated management of a wide range of large scale programs, (related projects that are managed in a coordinated way to obtain benefits and controls not available from managing them individually), and projects to achieve strategic business objectives within agreed upon parameters of budget, schedule, and scope.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Project / program management.

  • Manages all components of assigned programs, including budgets, resource allocations, scope, schedules, risks, etc. to ensure that agreed objectives are achieved. Balances all program components to maximize overall program value to the business. Identifies opportunities to consolidate projects and create programs that align with business strategies.
  • Acts as project manager for specific projects within a program to assure on-time delivery, effective cost and risk management, and to minimize potential integration issues.
  • Ensures that appropriate project management processes and tools are consistently applied to managed projects and programs throughout McCormick.

 

Process Discipline

  • Develop and deploy comprehensive global policy and business process management strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Drives business process management and knowledge management awareness, communication, change management and training within GBS & Enterprise as appropriate.
  • Actively implements BPM and KM in the organization.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies to ensure successful technology and process adoption.

 

Change management, communication, facilitation and training.

  • Accountable for the communication of program progress. Provides regular status updates to senior management with emphasis on delivery of business objectives, management of risks, and assessments of scope and quality attainment.
  • Leads project / programs reviews to assess and communicate performance of key strategic projects and programs.
  • Leads post project and program reviews and close-out sessions. Analyzes completeness of financial budgets established prior to project approval.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Project Management, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Human Resource Management, Mass Communications, or related field required. MBA or related graduate courses preferred.
  • Progressive business experience, including strong skills in change management, influence without authority, and leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in high pressure,sensitive situations. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven project management experience including large cross-functional and global initiatives. Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management including resource management.
  • Experience working with customers to develop solutions to complex, global business problems, working with diverse cultures is required. Fluency in other languages is a definite plus.
  • Champions change, leads assessment of business process opportunities, assists/guides the business in establishing future state vision.
  • Establishes and fosters business-to-business connectivity and support structures. Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
