Position Overview

 

As the Procurement Manager for the packaging portfolio at McCormick Foods Australia, you will play a crucial role in end-to-end category management and sourcing. Your focus will be on driving supply assurance, sustainability, and value delivery while leveraging market insights to foster growth and profitability.

 

Key Responsibilities;

  • Utilize your expertise in procurement and supply chain management to oversee the ongoing procurement for the Australian business and develop strategic initiatives for packaging materials.
  • Negotiate new and existing agreements with suppliers, fostering strong relationships to ensure optimal performance and collaboration.
  • Gather and analyze market intelligence on commodity trends, helping to build accurate budgets and forecasting models for effective risk mitigation.
  • Execute strategies that meet key performance indicators (KPIs) related to savings, supply assurance, sustainability, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing team to address escalated inquiries and enhance overall procurement processes.

 

Ideal Candidate

 

  • Demonstrated Experience: 3-5 years with direct packaging experience within FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Commercial Acumen: A commercially minded procurement professional with a strong background in packaging and supply chain management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent interpersonal skills for managing relationships with local and regional teams, as well as key functional leads.
  • Impact-Driven: A desire to contribute meaningfully to the organization and the broader community, aligning procurement strategies with McCormick's sustainability and growth objectives.
