Product Development Technologist, Moorabbin

We are seeking a talented Product Development Technologist with experience in sauces, coatings and seasonings to join our R&D team based in our purpose-built facility in Moorabbin.  Reporting to the Product Development Manager, you will interact with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to execute research and development activities related to new products and existing product improvements in accordance with customer or stakeholder requirements.

About the Role

 

Bring your experience in sauces to the table in a role where you will be developing and/or matching products as per project briefs, ensuring products are suitable for manufacture.   

 

  • Interact with a broad customer base to execute NPD projects from concept to commercialisation, whilst working with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business strategies and priorities
  • Lead internal trial activities and support with customer trials as required  
  • Preparation of interim and final specification for approval by Regulatory and as per customer requirements
  • Strong project management skills, exceptional communication and presentation skills, and the ability to manage business priorities

 

About You  

 

  • MUST have minimum 5 years of relevant R&D experience in FMCG (food production)
  • MUST demonstrate previous experience in Wet Condiments and Coatings
  • Strong Knowledge & experience in Coatings and Seasonings will be highly regarded, along with a high level of food processing experience
  • A passion for problem solving, with the ability to adapt, think outside the box and deliver technical and innovative solutions
  • Enjoy working with cross-functional teams and excels at building meaningful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP knowledge is highly regarded and an in-depth knowledge of FSANZ regulations
