We are seeking a commercially astute Commercial Accountant to join the McCormick team in Moorabbin. This role sits at the heart of our Consumer business and plays a critical part in driving profitable growth through strong financial partnership with Sales and Marketing.

About the Role
This role partners closely with Sales and Marketing to deliver data-driven insights that inform commercial decision-making and support profitable growth. It involves building financial models, analysing performance, and incorporating market, competitor, and customer dynamics into recommendations. A strong focus is placed on forecasting and planning, including leading monthly outlooks, mid-month flash updates, and contributing to the Integrated Business Planning process to ensure clear visibility of current performance and future expectations.
The position is also responsible for delivering accurate and timely reporting, including trade spend and A&P analysis, while continuously improving reporting processes and leveraging tools such as Power BI to enhance insights. In addition, the role supports long-term strategic planning, new product development initiatives, and pricing activities by developing robust financial models, contributing to tenders, and ensuring profitability is maintained through effective price management and SAP processes.
About You
- CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) with proven experience in a commercial finance or FP&A role
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Demonstrated experience partnering with Sales and Marketing teams in a fast-moving environment (FMCG experience highly regarded)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI or similar data visualisation tools
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels
- High attention to detail, with a continuous improvement mindset
- Experience with SAP, Blueshift and trade spend analysis is advantageous
