This is an opportunity for a Senior Product Development Technologist to join the R&D team at our new Technical Innovation Centre located in Moorabbin. This role also involves leading and supporting product commercialisation at our Clayton Manufacturing Plant.

Position Overview

 

This role will report to the Product Development Manager and you will be responsible for new product development activities from concept through to commercialisation across our Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) and FMCG portfolio. The role will require engagement with key internal and external stakeholders to execute research and development activities, related to new products and existing product improvements in accordance with customer requirements. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 8 -10 years of experience in Wet Condiments and Coating Systems development, with a high level of technical and food processing experience.

Our Ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical skills, experience, and personal attributes. 

  • 8 -10 years of new product development experience in Wet Condiments and Coating Systems development, with a high level of technical and food processing experience.

  • Strong knowledge of functional ingredients and food processing to maintain product quality and product specifications.

  • A passion for problem solving, with the ability to adapt, think outside the box and deliver technical and innovative solutions.

  • Enjoy working with cross-functional teams and excels at building meaningful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including remote and international colleagues. Your influencing and communication skills will be second to none!

 

Role Responsibilites

 

  • Lead and deliver end-to-end NPD project briefs, ensuring all internal and external requirements are met for scale up and production readiness.
  • Drive engagement with key customers to present concepts, influence project outcomes, and develop an understanding of customer strategies & priorities to support and deliver projects.
  • Lead internal and customer trial activities and product commercialisation phase.
  • Develop and formulate within the FSANZ Code, generate Finish Product Specifications and Artwork requirements.
  • Strong project management skills, exceptional communication and presentation skills, and the ability to manage business priorities.
  • In depth knowledge of FSANZ regulations and Food Safety requirements.
