SEA Commercial Manager (Exports & Developed Markets)

 

We are seeking a dynamic Commercial Manager to drive growth across both Developed Markets (in SE & NE Asia e.g. Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan) and Export Markets (Middle East, Africa, and select Asian markets).

 

This Thailand-based role (open to candidates across Southeast Asia) will report directly into the Commercial Head for Consumer Developed Markets (dotted line to the export leader in SEA), acting as a critical enabler of McCormick’s growth ambition. The role is uniquely designed to provide 50% focus on supporting GTM transformation and sales in developed markets and 50% focus on strengthening export market performance.

 

The successful candidate will bring a strong background in export and direct distributor management, demonstrate agility in navigating complexity, and thrive in a highly entrepreneurial environment. This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully by shaping go-to-market execution, building strong distributor partnerships, and accelerating sustainable sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with Export team to support distributor management, business reviews, and opportunity mapping across Middle East, Africa, and select Asian export markets.

 

Support Developed Market Commercial Leader in driving GTM transformation, in-market execution, business development and distributor management for developed markets.

 

Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, R&D, and Regulatory to enable fast issue resolution and unlock growth opportunities.

 

Liaise with US-based teams on regulatory approvals, product supply, labeling, and compliance requirements.

 

Conduct periodic business reviews, ensure sales target achievement, monitor A&P spend, forecast accuracy, and manage distributor performance.

 

Build rapport and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, leadership team members, and distributor partners.

 

 

Required Qualifications

Level of Education and Discipline

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field.
  • MBA preferred.

Experience

  • 8–10 years of experience in commercial roles, with strong background in export and direct distributor management.
  • Proven ability to deliver sales growth and manage complex markets.
  • Experience in FMCG / food industry is a must.

  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
