Finance & Accounting Manager
Mccormick (Thailand) Ltd.
This role is responsible for the financial control environment in Thailand in line with local, regional and corporate policies and guidelines. The role is also responsible for supervising, monitoring and evaluating all accounting activities. In addition, you will be establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information.
This role manages the compilation, validation and submission of internal and external financial report.


Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full aspects of accounting functions, policies and processes related to Accounting and Financial function.

• Oversight and management of A/P, A/R and GL transaction processing, including review, reconciliation and explanation of key movements.

• Ensure the accuracy of monthly and yearly account closing and the daily operations of the accounting department

• Analyze monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows) and produce financial reports or statements

• Liaising with an internal / external auditor and related government department (Revenue Department, Ministry of Commerce)

• Strong understanding of Thai tax regulation, such as withholding tax: PND3, PND53, and PND54 (double Tax Agreement), Corporate income tax.

• Manage banking relationships, cash holdings and foreign exchange hedging in line with corporate policies and procedures.

• Responsible for other assign tasks/ Ad-hoc assignments: report and projects


Qualifications and Experiences

• Fluent and conversational in English and Thai

• Bachelor’s degree or Higher in Finance Accounting, Controlling or Economics

• 8-10 years Financial Accounting, with hands-on experience managing banking, Tax, Substantial experience in SAP FICO.

• Proven experience as a Financial Manager

• Communication, Leadership, Drive for results, Collaboration.

• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

• Experience in FMCG business environment will be advantage

• Good understanding of procedures and concepts within own technical/subject area and a basic knowledge in other areas

• Full supervisory responsibilities, contributing to the motivation/development of team through professional leadership
• Mentors junior team members

• Uses judgement based on the analysis of information

• Ensures the quality of the tasks/services provided by self and others

• Restricted to area (usually part of a sub-function/function)

• Developed communication skills to exchange complex information

• Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst

• Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns

• Proficient user of finance software • Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used

• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles

• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations

• Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
