Position Overview

Provides expertise and management supervision in assuring the supply of materials, services and information is at the best overall value. Assumes overall responsibility and accountability for all procurement activities including strategy development, and risk management for their team. Provides input to the development of OGSMs and strategic direction of the Function.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement, together with the team, end-to-end sourcing strategy for Indirect categories, Packaging Material and Contract Manufacturing categories to deliver efficiency, profitability and sustain competitive advantage for McCormick business in SEA

 

Create and implement category transformation plan including procurement systems, processes, contract compliance and governance for both categories and lead change management with key stakeholders to drive compliance and efficiency

 

Developing next level of leadership within procurement via supporting and enabling team members to deliver their best and utilizing their unique capabilities to drive value for overall SEA business

 

Partner with key business stakeholders and external partners to bring innovation, growth and sustainability for the growing needs of the business across SEA and deliver key procurement KPIs associated with these 3 areas

 

Building strategic supplier partnerships and maintaining highest levels of supplier performance through performance management programs and supplier relationship management

 

Collaboration with global and other regional teams to bring best in class processes and enable global strategy implementation across SEA and support APAC implementation

Description

Level of Education and Discipline

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Scientist, Business, Finance, Accounting or applicable field of study required.

Certification and/or Licenses

 

Experience - functional/industry/commercial knowledge, business acumen

8-10 years in Purchasing/Supply Chain environment with appropriate business experience. 6+ yrs project management, execution of large, multiple or cross-functional projects. 5+ yrs managing, leading developing dynamic work teams. Requires in-depth knowledge of commodity markets, specialist in technical/subject area. Basic understanding of material functionality, material flow and handling to optimize supply chain effectiveness. Good understanding of how own expertise integrates with the function and basic commercial awareness.

Interpersonal Skills - leadership, interactions, communication, influence

Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and negotiate, global suppliers, colleagues in other areas/depts. And external customers/agencies. BU Leadership Reg Function Heads - Reg Supplier High Level - Reg Customer - High Level Occasional
