QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for managing all corporate quality assurance and food safety activities associated with supporting specific McCormick TH Unit and will be responsible to monitor and ensure compliance and execution of McCormick food safety and regulatory programs at the plant level, designed to ensure production and distribution of safe food products consistent with our established food policy standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

Amata Quality Operation Lead

• Leads an operation QA team to ensure delivery of the Quality and Food Safety requirements against timelines and supports them on day-to-day activities and also support them in the achievement of their objectives

• Provide technical expertise and support to the field on projects designed to improve our food quality and food safety

• Others such as Support the business tendering; Monitor the registration cost and routine expense, monthly report the discrepancies against the annual budget if any; and supporting the budget planning Quality and Food Safety System

• Implement and sustain the product safety, integrity, quality and legality in the facility

• Maintains, verifies and archives all production and food safety related data as required by GFSI audit, Food Safety/HACCP, RSPO, Customer requirements, Local/State/Federal regulatory agencies and Corporate policy

• Leads and participates in all facility audits including all local/State/federal regulatory agencies visits/customer audit/supplier audit

• Ensure all current certification requirements are met as well as the addition and/or compliance of any new required certification

• Acts as the facility Food Safety/HACCP team leader and Quality Management Representative (QMR) of the quality and food safety system Quality Program Improvement

• Identify gap analysis, recommendation for improvement actives and enable the improvement of food safety, sanitation, quality and cost saving.

• Lead continuous improvement of efficient change management and risk assessment process to ensure no food safety risk at all level

• Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training across Amata plant

• Manage and monitor quality plant scorecard

• Prepares a monthly written report for management recapping food safety and quality issues, trends, corrective actions, and preventive measures taken

 

Human Resource Management

• Supervision of a department involving responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and personnel.

• Responsible for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

• Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring of employees; planning, assigning, scheduling, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

• Contribute to the development of competence of QA team.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science or related fields

• At least 7 years’ experience being responsible for food quality and food safety, food industrial is preferable

• Background in BRC, FSSC, GMP, HACCP, HALAL, Food safety Lead auditor or other food safety standard. (Have the Certificates)

• Proven experience in Q&FS or Operational Quality role.

• Excellent technical depth in food products and processes

• Additional training in the area of communication, statistics, and problem-solving techniques.

• Good Verbal and Written Communication Skill in English and Thai.

• Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments

• Communication: Good and clear communication skills to deliver complex technical information

• Organisational skills – needed to keep track of testing, results, documentation, and recommendations

• Problem-solving: Job covers a range of activities that require the judgments and solutions based on sophisticated analytical

• Able to articulate ideas well, enjoys problem solving & challenges with positive work attitude and approach.

• Keen attention to detail – must be able to spot when processes don’t comply with guidance and provide alternative suggestions. Have to be able to read and interpret the details of external guidance and industry regulations

• Critical/logical thinking – have to identify problems but also be able to help provide novel solutions to ensure efficiency and quality of the manufacturing process

• Leadership: Ability to lead & work effectively in a multicultural environment.

• Able to work at Amata I.E. Phase10 Phanthong, Chonburi
