POSITION OVERVIEW 

Under the general supervision of the DC Work Leader and the Operations Supervisor, the Distribution Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating warehouse/order selector activities to include order delegation, Labor Management System (LMS) reporting; will work with the Work Leader to execute daily plans, update and report daily metrics, and complete department indicators (scorecard); will be involved in the day-to-day utilization of space, equipment, and manpower for DC functions and will assist with skills development and cross-training of workforce. Distribution Coordinator will prepare daily, weekly and monthly productivity reports (labor hours, downtime reporting), process order review, procedural updates and special projects are required. Acts as a backup to the Work Leader. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Work with the Crew Leader to execute daily plans, update and report daily metrics, and complete department indicators (scorecard) 

  • Help manage day-to-day utilization of space, equipment, and manpower for DC functions  

  • Assist with skills development and cross-training of warehouse, materials management, and production team 

  • prepare daily, weekly and monthly productivity reports (labor hours, downtime reporting),  

  • process order review, procedural updates and special projects are required 

  • Acts as a backup to the Work Leader. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • HS diploma or GED 

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills required. 

  • Ability to communicate effectively and direct the work of others in a way that ensures work assignments are performed correctly and successfully. 

  • Effective organizational and leadership skills required.  

  • Ability to read and interpret established policies and procedures. 

  • High level of numerical computation sills and analytical skills required. 

  • Proven decision making and problem solving skills required. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills (ability to work with customers and with all levels of employees). 

  • Computer experience in Microsoft Office required. 

  •  SAP/Warehouse Management System a plus. 

  • Attention to detail and the ability to prepare reports required.  

  • Ability to do physical lifting of 50 to 100 pounds on a frequent basis required. 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 2 or 4 year degree in related field 

  • Leadership experience 

  • Experience working in food manufacturing 

  • SAP/Warehouse Management System a plus.
