Position Overview

As Plant Manager, you will oversee all operations at our Atlanta facility, ensuring the safety, efficient, and cost-effective production of high-quality products. You’ll lead a culture of continuous improvement, drive operational excellence through TPM and HPWS, and serve as a key member of the Americas Supply Chain leadership team.

You will also represent McCormick within the local community and ensure compliance with all corporate, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop plant operations through strategic planning and execution.
  • Drive performance improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
  • Foster a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure timely delivery of quality products and maintain strong customer/vendor relationships.
  • Oversee compliance with GMPs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and long-term capital plans.
  • Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies to eliminate losses and build capability.
  • Lead plant-level initiatives aligned with McCormick’s Journey to Excellence (JTE).
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with Procurement, Planning, Finance, Logistics, Quality, Customer Service and more.
  • Develop leadership talent and succession plans to support long-term growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 12 years of manufacturing experience, including 7+ years in a leadership role within a TPM or Lean environment.
  • Strong background in food safety, GMPs, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven project management and strategic planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and build strong relationships across all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Flexibility to support a multi-shift operation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in High Performance Work Systems (HPWS) or self-directed work teams.
  • Familiarity with SAP and modern manufacturing technologies.
  • Background in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing industries.


Base Salary: $140-610-253,080

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Dividend Program.
