This dynamic role will report to the Culinary Development Manager (APZ) and be responsible for the day to day management of two kitchens, product demonstrations, recipe writing and testing to ensure that our customers and consumers experience the best possible outcome with our McCormick products. The ideal candidate will be a Qualified chef, Tafe Graduate and or Home Economist that is highly competent around food, flavour, culinary technic and has worked in an FMCG company. They will have an appetite for learning, be tech savvy, have a can-do attitude, fun with a passion for all food and flavours from across the globe.

Role Responsibilities   

  • Recipe writing, preparation, recipe execution and tasting table set-up and clean down.
  • Responsible for culinary documentation on all projects where culinary is required to provide actionable product or recipe analysis and feedback.
  • Kitchen management, restocking and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards for two kitchens
  • Researching food and flavour insights for our Culinary team to use in pro-active presentations as well as global projects.
  • Responsible for shopping, preparing and demonstrating/presenting of product recipes through a video medium
  • Stakeholder management for culinary tasting sessions and product tasting demonstrations for sales, marketing and product development teams.
  • Developing relationships with product development, sensory, flavour solutions account managers & brand managers

 

Technical Skills & Experience Required   

  • Chef, Tafe or Home Economics Qualifications with 5+ years of food experience
  • FMCG company experience would be ideal
  • Tech savvy with advanced Microsoft Office and PowerPoint suite skills
  • Strong communication and organisational skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) with the ability to build rapport across all areas of the business, including stakeholders and customers.
  • Proven ability to present to key stakeholders and train / coach others.
  • Ability to prioritise and work with minimum supervision, under pressure while performing multiple priorities
