Production Operator / Material Handler - Day

We are looking production operators and material handlers to join our team based at our Clayton South site.  Reporting to the Production Shift Supervisor, successful candidates will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and have experience in a food processing environment.

About The Role

 

We are looking for experienced candidates who will be able to apply their technical skills and specialist knowledge to maintain a consistent A-Grade food quality product.  The ideal candidate will be experienced with a background in food processing.

 

Tasks may include but not be limited to:

 

  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Safe Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure successful operation of production equipment
  • Meet daily production requirements to achieve Process Reliability (PR)
  • Perform machine set ups and changeovers, maintain flow of product through to packing
  • Maintain quality of products and associated documentation according to specifications
  • Communicate with departments including Quality, Maintenance and Material Handlers – escalate in case of deviations and issues

 

About You 

 

You are an effective communicator and someone who enjoys working alongside others in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.  Someone able to think on their feet and able to thrive under pressure. 

 

To be considered for an interview you will need to demonstrate:

 

  • Previous experience working in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift up to 20kg
  • Familiar with HACCP
  • Computer literate
  • Team player and good communication skills
  • Fast learner and open to change, willing to try new approaches
  • Continuous improvement mindset
