We are looking to hire a Customer Business Manager  immediately supporting Mojave foods.  This position is based in Southern CA and will report to the Sales Director.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Customer Business Manager is responsible for overall ownership of customer & territory objectives including sales volume, customer business plans, trade budgets, sales forecasts and execution of retail controllables..

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops and delivers customer plans to achieve volume and profit objectives.

• Delivers short & long-term solutions through best practice thought leadership.

• Primary and day-to-day selling interface at customer HQ penetrating highest levels within the

selling/customer organization.

• Determine promotional pricing, forecasts & distribution opportunities for existing brands and new products.

• Sell-in of retail controllables with customer--mix, promotion, shelf, display

• Customer deal negotiations for volume and discount contracts.

• Evaluate complex situations using multiple sources of information.

• Maintain awareness of store conditions and current & best practices.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Management or related field OR a minimum of 6 years' in Sales or as a Broker or Buyer in the consumer packaged good (CPG) industry, with  at least 4 years in the food or beverage manufacturing industry.

• Minimum 4 years of experience managing a retail customer base in the food and/or beverage

manufacturing industry

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Strong computer and analytical skills (especially Excel)

• Expert knowledge of procedures & concepts within a Sales function

• Basic knowledge in functions such as Sales Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing

• Understanding of how Sales integrates with other commercialization areas to include Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance

• Expert understanding of industry sector and competitive landscape

• Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication & organizational skills

• Strong negotiation, influencing and leadership skills

**Up to 25% travel is required.** 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Fluency in Spanish and English (bilingual)

• MBA

• Experience analyzing and applying syndicated data from IRI or similar

Base Salary: $87,910 - $153,870

 

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Dividend Program.
