We are hiring immediately for a  Customer Business Manager I.


Mojave Foods Corporation (Mojave), a subsidiary of McCormick & Company, Incorporated and nationwide manufacturer & distributor of Hispanic Consumer Products, is seeking a full-time Customer Business Manager I. This is a field position, so any successful candidate will be required to live within 2 hours of Commerce, CA – Mojave’s office location.  This position reports directly to the Mojave Sales Director. 

**Up to 25% travel is required.**

The Customer Business Manager is responsible for overall ownership of customer & territory objectives including sales volume, customer business plans, trade budgets, sales forecasts and execution of retail controllables.



• Develops and delivers customer plans to achieve volume and profit objectives.

• Delivers short & long-term solutions through best practice thought leadership.

• Primary and day-to-day selling interface at customer HQ penetrating highest levels within the

selling/customer organization.

• Determine promotional pricing, forecasts & distribution opportunities for existing brands and new products.

• Sell-in of retail controllables with customer--mix, promotion, shelf, display

• Customer deal negotiations for volume and discount contracts.

• Evaluate complex situations using multiple sources of information.

• Maintain awareness of store conditions and current & best practices.


• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Management or related field

• Minimum 6 years of experience in Sales or as a Broker or Buyer in the consumer packaged goods

(CPG) industry, with at least 4 years in the food or beverage manufacturing industry

• Minimum 4 years of experience managing a retail customer base in the food and/or beverage

manufacturing industry

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Strong computer and analytical skills (especially Excel)

• Expert knowledge of procedures & concepts within a Sales function

• Basic knowledge in functions such as Sales Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing

• Understanding of how Sales integrates with other commercialization areas to include Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance

• Expert understanding of industry sector and competitive landscape

• Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication & organizational skills

• Strong negotiation, influencing and leadership skills


• Fluency in Spanish and English (bilingual)


• Experience analyzing and applying syndicated data from IRI or similar consumer insights provider
