Production Operative

Jebel Ali, Dubai

 

Shift pattern: Monday to Saturday

rotating 7:00am - 3:00pm or 3:00pm - 11:00pm

 

 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: #LI-DNI

  • Follow recipes, loading raw ingredients to blender and packaging. Understand the procedures in the dry ingredient rooms.
  • Set up, run and operate specified process lines and associated equipment within the production area, with production operative.
  • Strip and clean specific process lines and associated equipment.
  • Set up and assemble equipment after cleanings and maintenance activities within the production area.
  • Load materials picked and dispensed into the blender for blending operation following production orders and standard operation procedures and instructions.
  • Fault find and report any breakdowns on the lines.
  • Liaise with colleagues ensuring continuity of OEE and carrying out effective handovers in shifts, both verbally and in writing.
  • Correctly carry out any required food safety and quality checks in Process Control Sheets and constantly monitor the quality of the product being made.
  • Accurately complete all necessary documentation such as process control sheets, registration forms etc.
  • Adhere to all recipes and Standard Operating Procedures, carrying out duties following Good Manufacturing Practices and 5S practices, and being responsible for hygiene and housekeeping in a specified work area.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, working within ‘safe systems of work’.
  • Ensure full compliance with Company Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety and Environmental requirements.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and carry out alternative duties, such as packing, re-work during normal and overtime working hours when required.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • At least 1year experience in a similar hands-on role.
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment (FMCG industry preferably) or within a food preparation environment.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills e.g. English & Maths O’level/GCSE equivalent
  • Good command of English (both written and spoken).
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate is an advantage.
  • Able to work in a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Problem solving and fault-finding skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach to working.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work and colleagues.
