Procurement Manager

The person in this position will be responsible for assigned categories for McC Kutas UAE and the development of category strategies and programs to optimize cost, rationalize the supply base and bring value to the Corporation while mitigating risk.

Scope includes coordinating and leading strategy execution activity supporting direct spending. Scope also includes Accountability for development, optimization, de-risking and execution of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging sourcing.

 

                          

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

  • Management of Procurement for direct and packaging materials for McC Kutas ME. Leads the negotiations of procured materials and services to assure optimal TCO (Cost, Quality, Delivery, Innovation) achieved.
  • Develops and implements strategies to assure lowest overall cost while mitigating risk to the Corporation. These strategies may be specific to McC Kutas UAE or aligned with Global Procurement Strategies for relevant categories
  • Develops and documents in-depth knowledge of markets, supply chain, and suppliers. Assists with making vs. buy decisions.
  • Conduct formal presentations as well as coordinate & conduct supplier reviews.
  • Select and develop best-in-class suppliers to meet business needs identified through cross-functional teams within the business.
  • Ensure price negotiations, alternative suppliers, contingency plans and create annual de-risking programs.
  • Communicate vendor management program to suppliers to ensure they understand and meet cost, quality and service level targets.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or applicable field of study required.
  • Experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain environment with appropriate business experience ideally in FMCG and food production work environment.
  • Work Experience in a multinational company
  • Very good English language knowledge
  • project management, execution of or participation in large, multiple or cross-functional projects.
  • Systems capabilities to maximize supplier performance and negotiating leverage.
  • Experience in import and customs clearance process.
  • Sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills are required to exchange complicated information.
