Job Title: INVENTORY ANALYST

OPERATING UNIT: US Botanical Food Company

LOCATION: Manteca, CA

 

Job Description:

Under the direction of the 3PL Manager, the 3PL Inventory Analyst will work to synchronize the receipt, shipment, and inventory adjustments at various 3PL sites using proprietary WMS systems with McCormick ERP systems (SAP, QAD) to maintain inventory integrity.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES, INCLUDE ONLY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Provide general warehouse inventory support for 3PL network DC’s
  • Actively develop relationship with 3PL team to ensure active and open communication
  • Support all warehouse teams and work closely with Quality, Operations, and Materials Management in the 3PL Network
  • Work with McCormick Supply Chain to implement best practices within the 3PL network, work through system issues and maintain data integrity. 
  • Work with 3PL site Cycle Count teams to audit counts of McCormick owned products throughout the year and investigate discrepancies as needed.   
  • Utilize SAP, & MS Suite (Excel and Word) to complete a variety of reports related to material usage, scrap/yield, disposal, shrink, cycle counts, aged inventory / plant inventory, at-risk materials, etc.  
  • Research and resolve material or inventory problems for the 3PL Network.  
  • Process order returns, ensuring system match between 3PL system and McCormick ERP systems.
  • Perform inventory adjustments for donations, scrap, and damage using proper cost center and reason codes.
  • Work with teams and actively participate in CI to identify process issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide technical support and training as a resource for relevant system applications. 
  • Support site specific customer order support as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required

 

 

EDUCATION:

 

High School Diploma/GED

 

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS/STANDARDS, LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS IN ADDITION TO GENERAL EDUCATION:

 

 

EXPERIENCE: 

 

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in the Materials Management and/or Distribution fields preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with a Warehouse Management System and/or Materials Management system preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word and Excel required.  Knowledge and experience working in ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals, required.
  • Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, required.
  • Experience following detailed procedures and completing accurate paperwork required.
  • Experience adhering to and following company, plant, regulatory, and customer standards required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate written and orally with all levels of the organization, as well as internal and external customers, required.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, vendors, and other employees, required.
  • Ability to plan and organize daily tasks and adjust throughout the day to priorities/emergencies and to meet deadlines required.
  • Ability to work overtime on short notice with flexibility in start times and work days, required.
