Position Overview

The Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing, proofing, and managing unique and engaging content for Global Communications across multiple internal and external channels. This position is responsible for adapting original content for different audiences and platforms, proofreading content, and managing translations across multiple communications platforms. The Communications Specialist will work with communications leadership to establish and execute content plans and create the most impactful user experience possible.

 

Key Responsibilities

•             Adapt original source information to create audience and platform relevant communications across multiple platforms including but not limited to internal intranet, social media, employee emails, employee events and internal publications.

•             Proof-read, format, and edit content created by cross functional partners.

•             Collaborate with Content Editorial Team, internal communications leads and cross functional partners on content priorities to build and execute coordinated communications plans.

•             Catalog, organize and archive all content generated; develop categorization structure for archive; assign metadata to content and store in centralized repository. Manage and coordinate employee event Q&As.

•             Leverage translation tools/partners to translate Internal Comms content from source language to the desired local language or add subtitles to video and validate with local teams for accuracy.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, English or related field
  • 2+ years of experience writing digital content for internal communications platforms, social media, company blogs, or internal marketing materials.
  • Expertise in AP Style grammar and editing.
  • Superior proofreading, communications, and organization skills, with utmost attention to detail.
  • Ability to distill clear and concise communications from source information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite of products including MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively and meet competing deadlines.
  • Must maintain high level of attention to detail and desire to improve the status quo.
  • Ability to prioritize and gather facts from a variety of internal and external resources.
  • This role requires excellent communication skills and manages the production workflow to meet deadlines and goals.
