Procurement Data Strategy & Analytics Manager
The Data Strategy Manager – Procurement is responsible for operationalizing and delivering the Procurement data strategy and Analytics across the function. Working under the strategic direction of the Global Senior D&T Manager and Global D&T Director for Data, Analytics & Digital, this role translates the procurement data strategy into practical capabilities, governance frameworks, and analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision making.
The role ensures procurement data is structured, governed, and accessible to support performance management, digital tools, and advanced analytics. Acting as a Procurement subject matter expert for key procurement data domains, the role collaborates closely with Enterprise Data Architecture, Global Data Administration, and Procurement Design & Transformation (D&T) teams to ensure procurement data assets effectively support procurement strategy and transformation initiatives.
The role also leads the analytics and digital enablement team responsible for procurement digitalization and data visualization capabilities.
The working hours of this position are 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM India Time, Monday-Friday to allow for inter-region communications.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES, INCLUDE ONLY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Data Strategy Execution (30%)
Co-create and translate the Procurement data strategy, defined jointly with the Global Senior D&T Manager for Data, Analytics & Digital, into actionable roadmaps and delivery plans.
Support implementation of data capabilities that enable procurement strategy, analytics, performance management, and digital transformation initiatives.
Ensure procurement data is leveraged effectively to support key functional Analytics priorities as well as value creation, supplier insights, operational efficiency, and risk management in general.
2. Data Governance & Data Management (15%)
Implement procurement data governance frameworks including data ownership, stewardship, standards, and quality controls.
Support governance of key procurement data domains including supplier, contract, spend, material, pricing, risk, and supplier performance data.
Collaborate with Global Data Administration teams to maintain master data standards and ensure consistent data management practices.
3. Data Architecture & Digital Enablement (15%)
Partner with Enterprise Data Architecture teams to align procurement data models with enterprise data architecture and platform standards.
Support integration of procurement data across procurement systems including ERP, sourcing platforms, supplier management tools, and analytics platforms.
Ensure procurement data structures support advanced analytics, reporting, automation, and emerging AI capabilities.
4. Analytics, Reporting & Insights (10%)
Enable development of procurement dashboards, scorecards, and visualization tools to support performance management and strategic insights with Procurement Analyst pool and cross-functional Data Analytics collaboration.
Identify opportunities to leverage procurement data to improve supplier intelligence, risk monitoring, cost optimization, and procurement performance.
Work with procurement stakeholders to translate business questions into analytical solutions.
5. Team Leadership (15%)
Lead and develop a team responsible for procurement digitalization and data visualization capabilities.
Provide direction and oversight to the Procurement Digitalization Analyst and Procurement Visualization Analyst.
Ensure effective delivery of analytics tools, dashboards, and digital procurement initiatives.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration (15%)
Serve as a key interface between Procurement and enterprise data teams including Data Architecture and Global Data Administration.
Partner with procurement leadership and category teams to translate business needs into data solutions and analytics capabilities.
Promote adoption of data-driven decision making and improve data literacy across the Procurement organization.
EDUCATION
A. Discipline: Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
B. Minimum level of education required to perform the job: BS
C. Preferred level of education – why?: BS – Future career growth
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 6+ years in a Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Customer Service, Data Analytics, or related fields required.
Exceptional Proficiency in MS Excel, & MS PowerPoint required. Strong Proficiency in SAP/APO & BW, Power BI is required.
Experience leading complex data visualization projects for Procurement and/or Logistics, Supply chain is required. Previous team leadership experience is preferred.
OTHER SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
1. Functional
Strong understanding of procurement processes, data domains, and procurement digital ecosystems.
Experience implementing data governance frameworks or enterprise data management initiatives.
Familiarity with procurement data structures including supplier, spend, contract, material, pricing, and performance data.
Experience working with procurement technologies such as ERP systems, sourcing tools, supplier management platforms, and analytics tools.
Experience delivering analytics solutions, dashboards, or digital procurement capabilities.
2. Collaboration
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams, cultures and time zones.
3. Team Leadership
Experience leading or mentoring analytics or digital specialists.
4. Computer proficiency
Ability to conduct data review and prepares reports, BW Reporting, Excel, Access
