Financial Analyst II, Americas Commercial Finance - Trade Spend

Position Overview

The Financial Analyst II is an integral member of the Commercial Finance team and will be the subject matter expert for Trade Spend Reporting & Analysis supporting the US Consumer business.

 

Shift timings: 05:30 PM - 02:00 AM IST

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage trade discounts for the US Consumer Products Division including forecasting, financial analysis, interpretations, key metric reporting, and month end close activities.
  • Communicate financial results and key insights to cross functional finance and business leaders.
  • Develop and implement reporting and forecasting improvements to enable increased visibility and insights.
  • Partner closely with the Commercial Finance organization by providing trade related guidance and analytical support during financial forecasts and monthly close activities.
  • Manage Deal Escalation tracking and forecasting process.
  • Manage Customer Fines tracking and forecasting and lead business partnering with Customer Supply Chain team.

 

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis preferred.
  • Experience participating on projects, supporting finance initiatives with the business, preferred.
  • Experience with transaction & reporting systems including, but not limited to Hyperion, SAP, Business Warehouse, TM1 or other local systems preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of financial accounting standards and GAAP required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business or an MBA required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities required.
  • Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of different financial and analytical techniques preferred and the capability to plan your own work and respect deadlines required.
  • Demonstrated ability to make judgments based on analysis of fact-based information, practice and previous experience/reasonable assumptions required.                                                                    
  • Strong proven knowledge of financial accounting standards
  • Excellent interpersonal (written and verbal) communications skills with a demonstrated ability to work across functions & cultures and interact and in some cases present to multiple levels of the organization required.
  • Demonstrated ability of being a dynamic self-starter, to work independently and apply sound judgment to solve complex problems with incomplete and/or ambiguous information required and to proactively initiate action steps required.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects at once, work under pressure, apply judgment and ask for aid in prioritizing as applicable required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to resolve issues required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills required.
  • Knowledge of SAP design, transactions, R3 and BW reporting capabilities highly preferred
