This new hire will be basedout of the Geneva, IL office working in a hybrid capacity.The Associate Product Manager will report to a Senior Product Manager.

This Associate Product Manager will primarily be responsible for planning, directing, executing and analyzing customer specific marketing programs for assigned brands in US Flavor Solutions. This role will translate strategy into customer specific marketing initiatives and actions for a 1–2-year planning period and will participate in the strategic and annual planning as well as day-to-day execution of customer marketing plans for assigned Flavor Solutions brands and portfolios. This role is responsible for leading the execution of major activation events and sponsorships (including brand equity driving events, customer events and Trade/Food shows) and is responsible for our customer marketing annual plan and implementation for assigned brands and portfolios.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates and executes customer marketing plans to build customer relationships, support customers’ product innovation efforts and ultimately grow flavor business.
  • Develop annual customer marketing plans for assigned brands (and segment(s) and presents to divisional leadership and execute cross-functionally.
  • Measure and report key performance indicators.
  • Develop compelling customer communication (story building and telling) that connects market and consumer data to the customer and relevant solutions and generate sales pipeline growth.
  • Leads projects across commercial (technical/product development, marketing and sales) and cross-functional teams and provides coordination with internal (eg cross functional project teams) and external partners (eg agencies, brokers, customers) and presentations to these groups.
  • Provides tactical coordination with internal (eg cross functional project teams) and external partners (eg agencies, brokers, customers) and presentations to these groups.
  • Ensures alignment of tactics with volume and profit growth objectives.
  • Responsible for customer marketing and promotions management inclusive of major events/sponsorships and customer communication

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Min 2 years in CPG, Food, Beverage or Supplements industries; Hospitality; or related field.
  • Experience with project leadership, strategic thinking, communication, teamwork, using syndicated databases, event planning, graphic design/digital design and telling compelling stories through the planning, researching, designing, and presenting visually appealing PowerPoint presentations.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel; Salesforce.com experience required.
  • Understanding of the industry sector and competitive landscape. In-depth understanding of concepts, principles, and practices of marketing or communication
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, communication & organizational skills required.
  • Developed communication & diplomacy skills required to negotiate internally and externally
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, brokers, agencies, customers and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to manage detailed project to tight timeline. Responds under pressures of time and uncertainty.
  • Strong verbal, written and design communication and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of the business, market, and industry in which we operate, as well as the customer impact to business decisions

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of the flavor industry is highly desirable.
  • Adobe Creative Suite, IRI sales data, Mintel, Innova
