We are looking to hire a Finance Manager (McFONA) immediately in a Hybrid (50/50) capacity at our McFONA site in Geneva, IL.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The FONA Finance Manager will be responsible for providing financial oversight and support for the key activities of the Accounting and Commercial Finance teams for the FONA Flavors business. The successful candidate will be an active business partner with the cross-functional teams supporting the FONA business working toward common goals to maintain accountability and controls and drive growth and profitability. This position will be responsible for developing analysis that will provide the foundation for significant business decisions.  This position will work in McCormick’s Flavor Solutions Division, located in Geneva, IL.  This role will report to the Commercial Finance Director, Americas NA Flavor. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•    Lead a team of finance professionals responsible for all aspects of the accounting, financial and profitability analysis for business partners
•    Support the organization’s accounting principles, practices and procedures, and maintenance of its fiscal records and reports
•    Actively manages general and property accounting through month-end and year-end close.
•    Oversees and assists with budget, forecast development, internal controls and additional internal strategic financial analysis
•    Identifies process and procedure improvements in financial processes to allow efficient and timely recording of key information and supplemental data.
•    Coordinates with FONA’s Revenue Generation (RG) and Order Fulfillment (OF) management to ensure alignment on financial information monthly
•    Develop and review analytics/reporting for key business segments and customers 
•    Manage and deliver the sales and profitability analysis and execution actions for key customers, products new products, post-launch reviews, pricing actions, and critical indicator reporting to senior management. 
•    Provide close coordination to the pricing teams to develop pricing strategies, targets, and execution of pricing activities to customers
•    Serve as the key business partner to support the commercial team’s short-term projects and long-term strategic initiatives.
•    Utilize systems to improve analytics and processes to drive data-based insights. 
•    Perform required controls environment, including quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
•    Proactively coordinate with Supply Chain Finance to understand the impacts of the plant operations, inventory, unsaleable, and organizational impacts to the business
•    Work as a liaison between the GBS Collections group and the sales’ organization to improve the collections process of customers
•    Review banking relationships and drive improvements
•    Support audit requests including the annual impairment analysis and external audit reviews
•    Provide ad hoc reporting for various finance and other business functions
•    Assist in development of new customer/vendor engagements, strategic initiatives and investments ROI
•    Assist in the management of daily working capital analysis and cash flows
•    Leads by example to provide a supportive, positive environment for the staff to grow in their current positions and to contribute to the success of the team and FONA
•    Maintain appropriate internal control environment

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
•    8+ years accounting and/or finance analyst experience
•    3+ years supervisory experience
•    2+ years project management experience supporting finance initiatives with the business functions
•    CPA
•    Demonstrated ability to close accounting books
•    Directing and interpreting all monthly results analysis, forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning for key business segments and customers
•    Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel and proficiency of Power Point & Word required 
•    Excellent analytical, communication and organization skills
•    Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of different financial and analytical techniques and the capability to plan own work and respect deadlines
•    Demonstrated complex financial analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
•    Proven team player 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•    MBA
•    Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus) and Business Intelligence / Report writing tools (PowerBI a plus), Tm1 and HFM
•    Related industry preferred (flavor, food)

Base Salary: $100,870 - $176,480


Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
