McCormick & Company, Inc., a global leader in the spice, flavor, and seasonings industry, is seeking a full-time Inventory Clerk on the Materials Management team. This new hire will work the McFONA plant, located in Geneva, IL. The Inventory will report to the Warehouse Team Manager.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Team Manager, the Inventory Clerk performs regularly scheduled cycle counts of finished goods, raw, packaging and in-process materials. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Counts and moves materials in the production and warehouse areas.
  • Audits Process Orders using SAP reports to assure variance targets are met or resolved on a timely basis.
  • Compares physical inventory counts with inventory levels shown in SAP.
  • Reconciles any discrepancies and reports to the appropriate parties.
  • Monitors operations and transaction activities for process adherence to help ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Participates in training and process improvement activities with production and warehouse teams.
  • Proactively encourages continuous improvement and daily problem-solving initiatives to increase operational effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Ensures that all activities follow documented operating procedures and recommends updates to existing procedures as required

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Acceptable attendance required.
  • Meets standards in overall performance rating in most recent performance review.
  • Forklift/Reach truck experience required.                                                                                                                                                 
  • Ability to perform basic accounting and report writing.                                                                                                     
  • One year of production or warehouse experience.                                                                                                        
  • Demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Computer experience with Microsoft Office operations with proficiency with Excel spreadsheets.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge of SAP warehouse and production transactions strongly preferred.               

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Salary Grade Range: $20.67 - $29.18 per hour

           

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer.
