We are looking to hire a Quality Systems Specialist immediately at our McCormick Flavor Solutions site in Geneva, IL.

The Quality Systems Specialist manages and maintains processes and systems necessary for compliance to all applicable product safety regulations and the maintenance of the SQF Level 3 certification through performance of hazard analysis for product safety and quality on raw materials, intermediates and finished products, annual reviews, internal auditing, detailed interaction with the operations team and broader organization, and microbiological monitoring programs (including the sampling of the environment, raw materials, intermediates and finished products to include the delineation of testing requirements and interpretation of all associated data to meet FONA International and customer requirements.)
Key Responsibilities:

Ongoing maintenance of the Food Safety Systems including HACCP plans, Quality plans, prerequisite programs, microbiological and allergen monitoring programs, critical control point and critical quality point oversight.

Review and revision of FONA Product Safety & Quality Policies and Procedures, including microbiology sampling protocols and allergen management programs to meet changes in customer requirements or regulations.

Generate Certificates of Analysis to meet all customer requirements in a timely and precise manner.

|
Tracking, trending, and reacting to results as applicable.
|
|
Maintenance of all scientific support used to supplement the food safety and quality systems.
|
|
Investigation and root cause analysis to include problem solving activities with other departments within the organization as appropriate.

Coordination with operations to conduct preoperational inspections and sampling.
|
|
Generation of key performance indicator data on a regular basis. Implementation of new programs and procedures throughout the organization to meet the changing needs of customers, regulators, auditors, and internal requirements.

Build and maintain business working relationships with third party testing laboratories.
|
|
Dissemination of data to the department and operations team as a tool for continuous improvement activities.

Education:
Minimum level of education required to perform the job - Bachelor's degree

Base Salary: $22.40-31.62
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Dividend Program.
