Sr Financial Analyst, McFONA Plant - Geneva IL

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under the general supervision of the Plant Controller and partnering with the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence, this position supports various plant related cost activities and partners with the Operations teams to provide financial reporting, analysis, and guidance.   Additionally, this role will include special costing projects inside and outside of the plants, participation on cross-functional projects, and optimization of selected Operations Finance processes. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and support FONA Plant activities involving product costing, month-end close, forecast, budgeting processes, and special operations projects as assigned. 
• Partner with and provide financial support to Plant Operations teams, including Technicians, to drive results in plant initiatives. 
• Represent operations finance on cross-functional projects and provide financial analysis, as applicable.  Lead financial discussion with diverse audiences including non-financial and financial audiences to explain the story behind the numbers.
• Provide financial support for the evaluation of identified opportunities or issues at the FONA Plant (e.g.  CCI initiative, investment return, balancing cost with performance and impact of operational decisions).  Assist developing Loss Analysis for the site.
• Identify and implement optimization and harmonization opportunities across the Supply Chain Finance network and eliminate non-value-added activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.
• 3-5+ years in Financial Analysis.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work across functions and cultures and interact with all levels of the organization.  Able to appropriately challenge the status quo.
• Self-starter with ability to influence decisions and make financially justified recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to resolve issues, handle multiple projects at once, work under pressure, apply judgment, and ask for aid in prioritizing as applicable.
   
  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• MBA and/or CPA
• Experience in manufacturing environment or other supply chain function.
• Experience with financial systems (SAP, A4O, TM1), Microsoft Office, and ABC costing.
• Experience participating on projects, supporting finance initiatives with the business.
