MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Category Vision & Strategy:

  • Develop and implement strategies for HSS, RM, Hot Sauces, and Condiments.
  • Identify growth opportunities and integrate them into business plans.

 

NPD & Innovation:

  • Collaborate on UK-specific research projects.
  • Create new product concepts based on consumer insights.
  • Support UK Consumer Marketing team to build compelling brand & NPD sell-in stories for Retail customers

Customer Centricity:

  • Ensure that channel/customer strategies are considered and integrated into category & brand/NPD recommendations
  • Build partnerships with Customer Category Managers and Shopper Marketing.
  • Ensure that brand/NPD initiatives are aligned to retailer launch windows where possible

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work with various teams todefine and agree growth platforms and category strategies
  • Share insights with international teams to promote best practices to encourage sharing of relevant insights and initiatives in order to drive industry best practice and secure mutually beneficial brand and category wins for McCormick UK

 

Insight Generation & Expertise:

  • Sharing industry trends, competitive landscape and market intelligence with the wider UK Consumer team
  • Analyse and transform market, consumer and shopper data into actionable Insights
  • In-depth understanding of shopper and consumer behaviour across key categories and channels/retailers
  • Develop and share external strategic insight presentations with key retail partners to drive thought leadership and optimise industry credibility for McCormick

 

Supplier Relationship Management:

 

  • Build collaborative relationships with third party agency partners and suppliers
  • Secure optimum SLA’s and deliverables for McCormick vie effective contract and terms negotiation

 

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Relevant experience, ideally in FMCG.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving, teamwork, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
  • Quick learner with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and effective project management.
