The purpose of this role is to lead the internal effort to win and flawlessly deliver UK and EMEA Flavour Solutions (business to business) commercialisation projects. These include launches of both new products and revised products manufactured out of all plants in the UK and EMEA region.

 

Reporting to the Senior Commercialisation Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing new product development and commercialization projects within the business. You will be leading a cross-functional team of Product/Packaging Development, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Technical, Finance experts. This is a pivotal role which ensures speed and innovation remain a core competency and that the team is kept focused, energized, and on-track to meet the objectives of our projects.

 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Lead the project lifecycle activities from project initiation to project closure.
  • Keep the internal stakeholders informed of progress, highlight risks, and escalate issues.
  • Drive consistency and quality in the execution of projects using the appropriate methodology and tools.
  • Lead project team meetings and other methods of communication- always demonstrating strong meeting management and facilitation skills to champion quality outputs.
  • Maintain project data, which supports the progression of the projects and the IBP (Integrated Business Planning) process.
  • Ensure that the commercialisation process and accountabilities are well understood within the functions and that the organisation is aligned to deliver executional excellence.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the process and lead their execution.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

 

  • Proven experience in project management methodology, Prince2 and/or Agile preferred.
  • Previous experience in an FMCG environment, typically with experience in either Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales or Marketing is desirable.
  • Previous experience in working with a CRM system (e.g., Salesforce)
  • An excellent “people-person”, who knows how to get things done. 
  • Able to progress a wide range of projects in a structured way, without losing attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills and the ability to network the organisation effectively.
  • Clear communication and ability to influence at all management levels.
  • Stakeholder management and ability to influence positively in decision making.
  • Strong initiative for problem solving and framing alternative solutions.
