MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own materials inventory level to guarantee the balance between service level and cash, in line with business yearly targets.
- Provide leadership and oversight to all facets of the Haddenham raw materials, including materials purchasing planning, product life cycle change management, disposals, risk and SLOB management and master data governance.
- Identify and implement improvements to working practices to improve efficiency, performance and reliability in the materials planning processes.
- Responsible for the tactical and strategic factory materials and inventory plans, set targets, manage year on year stock value / inventory turnover improvements to support UK Supply Chain targets.
- Oversee development and coaching of departmental team members. Develop individual goals for direct reports and ensure alignment to functional OGSM's. Follow up and monitor progress of individual goals and adjust as necessary to changes in business priorities and objectives.
- Build bench strength in materials management, using SAP MRP.
- Represent Materials planning on local, regional and global projects, with regard to Commercialization, CCI and engineering changes.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationship with NPD, procurement and supply functions in order to ensure that the monthly planning cycle delivers for the business and has the right level of governance across the end to end process.
- Identify from the long term plan any capacity or supply gap and inventory strategy.
- Manage significant material availability challenges and lead communication to business contacts across impacted customers.
- Collaborate with procurement on business continuity plans for key strategic suppliers or capacity constrained suppliers.
- Develop and own Service Level execution agreement with key strategic supplier to drive cost, cash, service performance.
- Implement Material Supply Management Capability framework including materials strategic master planning.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain or a related business field.
- Experience of working within a Team-oriented and collaborative environment.
- Ability and experience in working internationally, across multiple business units.
- Experience of working with SAP and associated business systems.
- Ability to analyze data and develop recommendations and solutions.
- A record of multi-tasking, identifying priorities and 'trouble shooting' as required.
- Excellent communication skills.
