The Project Lead – Global Marketing Optimization is responsible for coordinating a complex portfolio of marketing optimization analytics projects to ensure global media planning and regional business stakeholders have the data needed to build winning media plans and forecast models for McCormick brands around the globe.  As a member of the Global Marketing Data Science team, this individual will be the liaison between global and regional business teams, media planning team and external agencies to define each project scope, lead the data collection process, validate data accuracy and manage the overall process to deliver timely marketing ROI results.



  • Coordinate overall process to design, execute and report out results for global marketing optimization projects, accurately and on time
  • Ensure smooth & accurate data collection by working with business partners to provide necessary data and using basic analytics to consolidate data in preparation for data review
  • Coordinate and lead critical meetings at major project milestones, including project kick off, final data review and results share outs
  • Track ROI results, spending & key process metrics (e.g., timeline) to demonstrate progress attributable to scaled marketing mix program
  • Develop training content that enables business partners to use marketing optimization capabilities more effectively
  • Update project management processes and templates as new learning becomes available to improve effectiveness and efficiency



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Analytics/Science, Business, Economics, or closely related field
  • 2+ years business experience preferred (or analytics/data science or related field)
  • Demonstrated ability to connect the dots between data/analytics and business understanding to generate insights
  • Demonstrated sound understanding of concepts, principles and practices in Marketing and Sales
  • Ability to use software to manage projects, collect data and present learnings out to business, e.g., MS Excel and PPT
  • Proven project leadership experience with demonstrated success in balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; foresees and addresses issues before they become significant obstacles
  • Ability to synthesize analytic learnings and translate into compelling stories for a business audience
  • Effective at building collaborative, cross functional and cross-geography partnerships
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong personal leadership, including attention to detail, quality of work and bias toward action
  • Ability to travel internationally, as needed (0-5%)



  • CPG or Food/Bev experience
  • Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Power BI)
