Senior Director Quality & Regulatory FS EMEA
Location: United Kingdom or France
Reporting to the VP RDQR EMEA, the Senior Director Quality & Regulatory FS EMEA is the senior Quality and Regulatory representative for the Regional Business Unit (Flavor Solutions) driving operational quality excellence and providing strategic leadership for Quality, Food Safety and Regulatory. The role leads all Site Quality Assurance Leaders and Regulatory Affairs across FS EMEA.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Planning and Leadership – Sets direction for budget and priorities/OGSMs; support large Business Unit projects (capital and acquisition integration); BCP support; assessing business and customer needs; and integrating an evolving regulatory context.
- Delivers Business Success and Performance through operational quality excellence with the all EMEA FS sites (JTE, PQ, RCA, Quality Culture, Continuous Improvement, Q&FS audits by customers/certification bodies/authorities).
- Leads and provide strategic direction to all Site Quality Assurance Leaders across FS EMEA (performance management, change management, talent management,…).
- Builds customer intimacy, centricity and growth, in partnership with the Global QSR & EMEA FS Customer Quality Director. Participation in key meetings with key customers.
- Escalated Incident Management – Risk assessments, IRs, BAs, market actions, and internal business communication and alignment.
- Represents the Quality and Regulatory Function at the highest level for the EMEA Flavor Solutions in the EMEA Flavor Solutions Leadership Team
- Strengthens collaboration with Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Commercialization, and Product Development to deliver growth and performance.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline, Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in at least two Quality focus areas (Customer, Operations, Regulatory, Supplier, Global CoE) or related functions such as Supply Chain or Product Development preferred.
- Experience within the food and/or flavor industry
- Proven project and change management experience, including leading large initiatives (e.g., organizational restructuring, regulatory implementation, plant quality turnaround/closure, global customer leadership, Progressive Quality/TPM/JTE programs)
- Participation in LDC leadership programs (e.g., Emerging Leaders, Leadership Essentials)
- Experience participating in cross‑functional Supply Chain, Product Development, or Sales teams
- Demonstrated multi‑functional leadership experience
- Excellent knowledge of EMEA regulatory landscape and their practical application
- Ability to develop and execute short‑, mid‑, and long‑term (1–5 year) strategies aligned to business needs
- Able to align resources, priorities, and daily operations to achieve strategic goals
- Effective in building diverse, high‑performing teams and foster a future‑focused, innovation‑driven organization
- Proven capacity to lead and sponsor change across internal and external stakeholders using effective change management tools
- Capable of building strong cross‑functional relationships to drive collaboration and results
- Excellent communicator to all levels (written, verbal, presentations) and adapting to local differences.
- Ability to take decisions when not all elements have been explored. Capability to deal with ambiguity. Can resolve conflict when needed
- Ability to travel up to 35%.
