Senior Finance BP – EMEA Foodservice

The role is responsible for working with senior management to identify and implement opportunities for strategic growth and to evaluate medium to long term investment opportunities for the FDS sector of EMEA Flavour Solutions Division. Support the achievement of financial objectives and business improvement programs.

 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • To be involved in and influence all key business decisions affecting the FDS sector in EMEA, providing financial and business support to commercial directors and their teams.
  • To understand the business end-to end, the technologies and marketplaces in which it operates and to assist and influence in developing the strategy to take advantage of the opportunities that exist
  • To ensure allocation of McCormick resources to best effect – across commercial and other functions, including R&D and Operations.
  • To support Commercial directors in commercial negotiations. This includes participating in regular face-to-face meetings with distributors.
  • To work with Global colleagues on FDS business initiatives

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years post qualification in FMCG / manufacturing business, preferably in a commercial business partner role
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Exposure to a multi-site/cultural/product environment is essential as is experience of working in an international business
  • Proven record of contributing to the strategic agenda, leading change, and supporting a business during a dynamic, fast growth phase
  • Contribution to the development of an organization’s growth strategy through effective development of business relationships, and exposure to M&A
  • Used to working in a highly results-oriented and performance-driven environment, with a focus on excellence
  • Strong technical skills, experience of a best-in-class management information process
  • Demonstrable success in working in a matrix finance function, and building partnerships with other functional areas such as supply chain or operations
  • Demonstrable record of providing value-added analysis to the operational aspects of a business
  • Ability to simplify complex situations and provide clear analysis and recommendations
  • Ability to process complex customer negotiations and requests to best advantage
  • Ability to function in customer face-to-face meetings to protect and enhance McCormick’s commercial position
