Overview:
The Internal Controls Analyst is a new role in the region with responsibility for providing key controls coordination activities in the LATAM region. It involves working with Finance and some non-Finance teams in the region to ensure timely delivery of controls and compliance areas.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage completion of SOX paperwork and other system administration as part of the quarterly SOX certification process for the region.
  • Input into the simplication and standardization agenda for LATAM.
  • Assist Internal audit finding owners with timely close out of findings where appropriate.
  • Provide support to regional close process on accounting and controls areas.
  • Assist LATAM finance/legal areas with audit and compliance areas as necessary.
  • Support  3rd party audit to release statutory finance requirements.
     

Required Qualifications:

  • Completed Bachelor's Degree. Preferably in Finance/Accounting.
  • Previous Qualified Experience with internal control and auditing (multinational group accounting experience preferred). 
  • ERP (SAP/Oracle preferred) and group reporting systems experience. 
  • Exposure to project management and process improvement techniques. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards. 
  • Exposure to FMCG business environment. 
  • Detailed experience in internal control and SOX requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence without formal authority at all levels of management. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, apply sound judgment and solve complex problems. 
  • Intermediate to Advanced English communication (verbal and written).
