We are looking to hire a Finance Manager in a Hybrid (60/40) capacity for our site in Mexico City. This is 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Role Overview:
Key business partner to the Vice President Category Procurement driving actionable insights and analytics, supporting the CCI and Cash delivery and sound decision making that results in the achievement of the financial objectives of the business.  This position will have responsibility for managing the strategic financial planning, annual budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, monthly and quarterly financial analysis, internal control.
Other responsibilities also include ensuring accurate CCI reporting and compliance, supporting critical TM1 implementations, fulfillment of ad-hoc requests.
This position is also responsible, in conjunction with Operations personnel, for the development and reporting of metrics for internal and external use.  
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Behave in a professional and confidential manner befitting a Finance Manager  to ensure “role model” status (both technically & behaviorally) in the Finance & wider McCormick business.
  • Support procurement team to ensure that core skills of accuracy, excel excellence, analysis and “knowing how to get things done” at McCormick are fostered and transferred to others.
  • Elaborate and execute a plan to level up the digital capabilities of the team, focusing on performance improvement tools already available for McCormick to drive capacity relief and smart execution of daily tasks.
  • Use strong influencing skills with other departments to ensure all projects are completed to the best standard.
  • Ensure all reporting and financial procedures are in line with Corporate guidelines and legal requirements. 
  • Lead development of high quality, concise and focused management reports ensuring key information adds value to both SC and commercial audiences.
  • Ensure Standard Costing & Stock management & reporting is done correctly, by proactively connecting the costing teams to review errors throughout the month and implementing solutions that will mitigate those errors in the future. Additionally, collaborating with the Master Data teams to understand common issues and develop an execution plan to enhance data quality, which could affect Standard calculations or inventory accounting. This applies to the current year's costs as well as the forecast costs, ensuring that the TM1 forecast plan accurately reflects prices based on the Price unit of measure and material base unit of measure.
  • Lead the continuous improvement & management of Procurement financial planning process including target setting.
  • Manage the annual LTP, budget & monthly / quarterly forecast & S&OP processes for Global Category Procurement, including the Agenda invites and setting up the expectations for each team on what needs to be done during that cycle. Support the execution of the presentation decks.
  • Participate in Strategy development: providing leadership to within the SC & wider finance team / input into strategic planning process where required.
  • Evaluate and develop capital investment plans ensuring alignment with business unit strategies.
  • Coordinate the Capital requests for the procurement team, especially the Packaging teams, when it comes to investing/replacing Molds. Understand and ensure that the direct depreciation hits the material base item in Actuals and forecasts.
  • Ensure robust business case is in place to support all proposals for expenditure. (ROI must meet Corporate expectations)
  • Provide financial analysis and commercial input into business improvement initiatives and projects ensuring appropriate levels of performance tracking are in place; this applies to ongoing business improvement and major change project delivery.
  • Conduct month-end reviews with the Procurement Finance financial validators to track validation progress, risks due to CCI attritions/reductions, and address those cases with the respective project leaders and their direct teams managers.
  • Ensure all reporting regarding CCI is as efficient as possible & available to the Director of Cost Optimization in a timely manner
  • Business partner with the Procurement Directors to develop and support strategic initiatives.
  • Takes accountability for ensuring the control environment within the Supply Chain area is robust and in line with corporate guidelines, SOX and local accounting GAAP.
  • Review the “PPV versus standard” control report twice a month with the control owner to ensure that errors are corrected within the month period.
  • Support the “PUP versus FIFO” control execution together with the control owner
  • Proactively manages risk within Supply Chain; identifies business risk and works with colleagues to develop and implement plans to mitigate.
     

Requirements:

  • Completed bachelors’ degree in Accounting or related field.  
  • CPA or equivalent required.
  • 8+ years progressive financial/accounting experience.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated management and supervision experience (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Finance (preferred).
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP.
  • MS Excel proficiency.
  • Experience with Power BI or other data analysis software.
  • Advanced or fluent English (spoken and written).
  • Demonstrated solid and successful background in financial reporting and internal control requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, manage and implement process improvements.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated strong, sustained high performance coupled with the ability to lead people and change effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with and build and sustain relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated dynamic self-starter.
