We are looking to hire a Indirect Procurement Leader in a Hybrid (60/40) capacity for our site in Mexico City. This is 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Position Overview:

The Team Leader must ensure delivery on time in full of the requested supplies, according to company procedures and policies, by searching for possible vendors, carry out negotiations for competitive prices and lead times, as well as participating in operational meetings to identify procurement strategies. The leader must also manage his/her procurement team according to company standards and yearly objectives for El Salvador and Mexico Teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all indirect procurement personnel during the acquisition of goods and services.
  • Support the existing vendor catalogue to ensure the delivery of quality products, and services with competitive prices on time.
  • Negotiation of prices and lead times for all the requested products and services.
  • Develop and execute a strategy so all indirect vendors operate under a contractual scheme.
  • Supervise and manage the authorized budget for the different areas.
  • Evaluate all vendors’ performance and develop action plans for those who do not comply with the company standards.
  • Analyze and manage any possible change of costs, quality and lead times to ensure the company is obtaining the best products on the market, paying special attention on terms and conditions of warranty, payment and service issues.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Administration, Industrial Engineering, International Commerce, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Indirect Purchasing, knowledge in bidding competition, supplier development and evaluation.
  • 2+ years of experience leading teams.
  • 1+ years of experience working with SAP Procurement Module.
  • Experience in savings project management.
  • Food industry or manufacturing experience, desired.
  • Food Market knowledge, desired.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Effective negotiations skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills.
  • PowerBI experience, desired.
  • Advanced English (spoken and written).
