Position Overview
The Senior Manager Plant Warehousing oversees the North American Plant Warehouse strategies and standardization of processes through dotted-line responsibility for US Plant Warehouses. This role has a key focus on Safety & Quality, SAP WM standard processes, LMS implementation support, EWM design and start up support, Business Continuity planning, FM Global & CTPAT Audit compliance, Inventory Control Programs, and site action plans to support War On Waste, and a reduction in Warehouse related starvation. They will co-lead with the 3PL Manager when overflow or 3PL space is required to manage site capacity utilization, as well as develop and implement on-going productivity programs. In addition, the position will ensure the plant warehouses are integrated with appropriate development and succession plans. In conjunction with the North American Logistics Director, assist with strategy and program development to achieve “Best in Class” in the above categories and deliver cost optimization, capacity modeling/planning, risk mgmt., process standardization, people development, JTE advancement and meeting annual corporate objectives while providing strategic leadership for Plant Warehouse Leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Contributes to the development of and responsible for the execution of operational plans for Plant Warehouses, including but not limited to budget and CCI delivery, Capital project execution to achieve results which support the North American Supply Chain & business unit strategic objectives
- Logistics liaison for McCormick McIT solutions team for all systems changes and upgrades. Responsible to ensuring Plant Warehouse and McIT solutions are connected.
- Ensures all Plant Warehouse locations are fully using WMS functionality to drive improvements and standard best practices.
- Provides leadership support for the North American Logistics organization with a focus on Plant Warehouse operations, consisting of initiative sequencing, resource management, involvement in long-term plan creation, technology advancements, deployment of warehouse management systems and service as a champion of programs and project management.
- Assures compliance of all warehouse operations with organizational policies and procedures and national, regional, and local regulations (Audit Ready).
- Knowledge sharing, benchmarking current & future industry trends with peer Consumer Product Goods companies and other external outlets (gov’t. agencies, etc.). Translates information into actionable strategies for the function.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years’ experience in a Logistics/Supply Chain environment with appropriate business and leadership experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Operations, Transportation, Supply Chain, or Procurement, or 10 + years of relevant experience
- 2 + years of project management, execution of, or participation in large, multiple, or cross-functional projects. Knowledge of the North American Logistics industry and networks.
- Proven experience and success in leading teams, good collaboration skills, and ability to support organizational change, negotiate and influence.
- Experience managing Plant Warehouses. Ability to design supply chain metrics to drive performance and appropriate corrective actions.
- Supervises the work of all exempt employees both managers and independent contributors in all departments.

Base Salary: $118,900 - $214,030
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
