We are looking to hire an Americas R2R Director immediately in a Hybrid (50/50) capacity at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland.
The Americas R2R Director provides strategic and operational leadership for Record-to-Report activities across Americas GBS (Global Business Solutions) and Global Rebates. Reporting to the VP, GBS Finance Operations, this role leads the Americas and Global Rebates R2R team and oversees accounting, SOX controls, financial close, and account reconciliation activities across GBS Americas.
This position serves as a key business partner to Corporate Controllership and Internal Audit, driving standardization, strong controls, accurate reporting, and continuous improvement across the McCormick enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the R2R financial close and account reconciliation review process for Americas entities.
- Review financial close and account reconciliations across GBS processes, including Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Hire to Retire, Global Data Administration, and R2R.
- Oversee approximately 75% of the Americas close and reconciliation process, representing approximately $20 billion in balance sheet value.
- Provide functional leadership for GBS internal controls over financial reporting, including SOX compliance, control standardization, and audit readiness.
- Coordinate audit support for internal audit management testing and external audit activities across the Americas.
- Drive service delivery performance, process effectiveness, cost optimization, customer satisfaction, and remediation of service issues.
- Partner with Controllership, regional leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues and align on financial priorities.
- Lead strategic GBS initiatives and partner with teams such as IT, M&A, and other business functions.
- Develop, coach, and manage a high-performing team of finance professionals.
- Collaborate with global finance leaders, including the EMEA R2R Director, to ensure consistent practices and coordinated execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CPA required.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in US GAAP accounting, financial controls, and reporting.
- Public accounting experience supporting multinational SEC registrants required.
- At least 5 years of supervisory or people leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading financial close, account reconciliation, and reporting activities within a multinational organization.
- Strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and the ability to design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls.
- Experience with multinational consolidations, currency translation, intercompany eliminations, and regional accounting complexities.
- Strong knowledge of SAP and HFM.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence across all organizational levels.
- Ability to synthesize complex financial issues into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility, lead through influence, and work effectively across geographic and functional boundaries.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or other advanced degree.
- Experience leading finance transformation, shared services, or global business services initiatives.
- Experience supporting M&A integration, ERP transformation, or process standardization projects.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $160,500.00 - 273,000.00
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Dividend Program.
